With over 21 years of agency experience, Jeff Feldman specializes in strategy, messaging, positioning, and tactical execution. While his programs almost always include an original twist, they are always consistent with corporate goals and objectives. Through work with broad-line suppliers, ASIC specialists and EDA vendors, Jeff’s work covers major corporate post-merger repositioning efforts as well as market and product positioning for just about every category of discrete, IC and SOC semiconductor. For specifics, view this website’s expertise page.

With a deep understanding of semiconductor technology, the business, and margins – especially for a PR person - Jeff brings a unique perspective: the ability to understand and therefore translate a competitive marketing/engineering perspective into a well-substantiated communications position.

Throughout his career, Jeff has consistently demonstrated that actually understanding the technology and business makes a huge difference in program approach. This knowledge brings in otherwise unachievable results.

In 2000, before joining New Ideas, Jeff sold his interest in FS Communications, a PR agency he co-founded in 1991. During his tenure at FS Communications, this Mountain View-based PR firm consistently ranked in the San Jose Business Journal’s top 25 list. Clients included Exar, Harris Semiconductor, LSI Logic, Mosel Vitelic, Siemens/Infineon, VLSI Technology, SandCraft, Scenix and MedianX Semiconductor. Through LSI Logic and Harris Semiconductor, Jeff worked with Synopsys – even that company’s launch.

Before FS Communications, Jeff spent six years with Ketchum Public Relations, where he was a vice president/group manager. At Ketchum, he managed programs for startups and established firms: Harris Semiconductor, the Silicon Valley office’s anchor account; Echelon; Ikos; Infochip; and Intergraph. Through Harris, an investor in both, Jeff planned and executed projects with Synopsys and Cadence.

Jeff started in PR in the 1982 as a technology public relations writer for several agencies. Clients included Vitelic and International Microcircuits. Originally, he was a magazine writer and editor.

Jeff is a graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism.
